One such "hidden" gem is the village of Hoffman Estates. Hoffman Estates is located almost entirely in Cook County, although a small portion spills over into Kane County. The population hovers roughly around 51,000 people, and the area is large enough to host at least nine zip codes: 60010, 60067, 60107, 60120, 60169, 60179, 60192, 60194, and 60195.
Hoffman Estates were born in the mid-20th century when "gentleman farmers" inhabited and worked this area west of Chicago. Sam and Jack Hoffman bought 160+ acres of land financed by their successful father-son construction company. They were the namesakes so honored with this region that bears their name due to the constructed homes and surrounding development. As the area became more populous, residents voted to incorporate the area and the iconic Hoffman Estates was incorporated as a village on September 23, 1959.

Hoffman Estates' claim to fame have been in the past headquartering Sears and holding the American headquarters for Mori Seiki. This village name may sound familiar to you if you are familiar with the Windy City Bulls of the NBA G-League. They can also boast hosting one of the most iconic music and dance festivals of its kind in the Midwest known as the Heartland International Tattoo.
In 2011, the Village of Hoffman Estates took over ownership of the Now Arena. On June 23, 2020, the Village of Hoffman Estates approved an $11.5 million deal to rename the Sears Centre Arena to the "NOW Arena."
